Magdalene Crocker is an inspirational song writer who has been published for many years by John Benson Music in Nashville, and Lillinas Music in Kansas city.

One of her best known songs, "I DON'T NEED TO UNDERSTAND", was written while her husband Ken Crocker was riding elephants through the jungles of Burma to preach the gospel in a very remote village. The entire village of about 1500 people attended the service and insisted on having 5 different services before they would stop for a lunch break.

Maggie is an excellent speaker and the church they pastored asked her to fill in for her husband while he was preaching around the world. She did a daily radio program, preached three times a week, and took care of their large church with all of it's problems. One night after a very trying day, she couldn't sleep, went into the living room about midnight to pray , and the Lord gave her this beautiful song.

It's been recorded by many of the major gospel singing groups, appearing on their platinum albums, and after 40 years it's still being sung and recorded by gospel groups, evangelist and people all over the world.  Literally hundreds of people have told Maggie they played the song until their record or tape was worn out.

Ken and Maggie have given away thousands of copies of this song, and heard from many grateful people who said it helped them through the hardest and toughest times of their lives.

We put it on a CD called "Songs for Troubled Hearts".
